Disney, a famed network for their animation, has added the Star Wars cast to
their ensemble of characters. It is absurd that Disney now has full rights to
the entire Star Wars universe, and they are guaranteed to tarnish the Star Wars
series by creating—if all goes according to plan—a brand new addition to the
franchise in the form of a new film every three years. The franchise is not the
only one that has been sucked in by the Disney universe; others include Marvel
and Pixar.
The movies that have come out recently have been a huge success because
Disney allows them to still produce the films that they would like.
Nevertheless, the fact that Disney owns the entertainment industry cannot be
overlooked.
With Disney purchasing Lucasfilms for $4 billion, they seem to have
monopolized the entertainment industry, and fans everywhere fear the mash-up of
both the Disney universe and Star Wars. Many reacted by posting cartoons of
“Darth Mickey” all over the internet.
Not only does Disney plan to profit
from multiple Star Wars films, they also plan to spawn multiple TV series and
sell Darth Vader action figures.
Fans of the Cartoon Network show, “Star Wars, the Clone Wars,” fear its
cancellation because Disney, Cartoon Networks competitor, now has the rights to
all of the characters featured on the show and they may end it to benefit
themselves.
The entertainment industry now seems to all be interlinked to the Mogul
Disney, and many fans of Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilms pray that these movies
credit the genius that flowed when their favorite characters made their
debut.
