The Truth Revealed
I am tired. I am tired of being ridiculed for my views. I am tired of being persecuted by those who are ignorant. I am tired of the constant fear of being told I am racist, bigoted and foolish because my ideals differ. I am tired of the constant knowledge that those around me cannot form their own beliefs and ideals.
I find it hard to go to my favorite class anymore because I know that I will be told that I am a terrible gun-toting, poor hating, racist dirtbag. I am writing this today to officially rebut all of the things I have been accused of being and explaining what I truly believe.
Contrary to popular belief, Republicans, including myself, are not racist (Well just like every group there are the those who are different) I am not, in fact a racist. I have been accused of being so for the sole reason of my affiliation with the Republican Party. The truth that many choose not to accept is that those who claim that they are accepting, kind, thoughtful and love helping the poor are the ones who, the second you disagree with them, call you a bigoted racist who hates the poor, which leads me to my second point.
I do not hate the poor. I have been told on multiple occasions that because I disagree with welfare I automatically hate the poor. This is simply an ignorant opinion that once again shows those who oppose me simply argue without the facts on their side. I dislike Welfare because many people use it as a lifestyle opposed to its intended purpose. The purpose of Welfare and unemployment is to assist you get back on your feet in a difficult time opposed to a constant cycle of those who work hard being forced to pay for the lives of those who are too lazy to find work. Its very annoying to go to Wal-Mart and see the people in front of you using food stamps to get soda and junk food instead of things that are needed for survival.
I am not a murderer. I have been told by people who I respect and trust that because I own a firearm that makes me a murderer. That is an absolute lie. I am a Life Member of the NRA who has been hunting for most of my life, I respect firearms and firearm safety, I work hard to educate those around me who tell me how guns are evil and the NRA is as well. I do not understand how anyone could come to the conclusion that it is the NRA's fault for mass murders and violence when the creed of the NRA is to defend our rights and those who are victims of crime, those who need a firearm for safety.
I am tired of the constant knowledge that my friends, my peers, look down on me from their self-imposed moral high ground, and refuse to see what I really am. I am a hard worker who doesn't mind helping the poor but is only mad when the Government allows people to stay on unemployment and Welfare for years at a time. All I ask for is the respect I deserve from my peers and friends. I may see things from a different point of view but that doesn't mean I'm an evil racist scumbag who hates all things that are good and loves his guns. I am an American citizen who is writing this for the sole purpose of making a stand against those who speak down to me.
